The project "Kiefhuck" is based on a legend from the North Sea about a woman in a red skirt, who guards a treasure in the mudflat. If someone tries to excavate the treasure, she grabs the person with icy hands and makes it almost impossible for them to find their way back home.
The legend is linked to the lost island Rungholt which was flooded in the 14th century.

Part of the project are several photographs, objects, drawings and a video that are based around the story.
In addition I worked with silk fabrics which I put into the mud flats/salt water to conserve traces of the lost island Rungholt and to leave my own traces by using ink.
