Since 2023
„Where do you go to“ is a photographic work about and with teenagers of Generation Z.
There is a lot of talk about this generation, but it often seems to me that there is little dialogue between them and an older generation. I am interested in what the teenagers and young adults are dealing with in a time of numerous crises and an insecure future, what dreams, fears, and hopes they have. One prerequisite for my work was the question of how I can approach this generation, shaped by the virtual world, with analog photography, enter into dialogue, and report about them in visual form. Since 2023 I have therefore been meeting teenagers and young adults who cross my path in daily life. I photograph them and their immediate surroundings spontaneously, from the situation itself, or arrange meetings with them at places that are meaningful to them. I have taken the portraits in Germany and Iceland.
The work consists of 60 C-Prints, Dimensions variable.
